<브레이크뉴스 홍천= 김일웅 기자> 가정의 달 5월을 맞아 청정 홍천의 봄맛을 만끽할 수 있는 특별한 미식 축제가 열린다.

홍천군은 오는 5월 1일부터 3일까지 사흘간 도시산림공원 토리숲에서 ‘제8회 홍천 산나물 축제’를 개최한다고 밝혔다.

올해 축제는 지역에서 생산한 산나물을 지역에서 소비하는 ‘지산지소(地産地消)’를 핵심 가치로 내세웠다. 지역 농가가 직접 참여해 유통 과정을 단축하고 탄소 배출 저감에 기여하는 친환경 선순환 축제로 운영될 계획이다.

해발 600m 이상 청정 고지대에서 자란 홍천 산나물은 깊은 향과 뛰어난 식감을 자랑한다. 축제장에서는 재래 곰취, 병풍취, 참취 등 시중에서 접하기 어려운 다양한 산채류를 신선하게 만나볼 수 있다. 특히 구매한 산나물을 홍천 한돈과 함께 직접 구워 먹을 수 있는 셀프 식당이 마련돼 방문객들에게 홍천만의 차별화된 미식 경험을 선사할 예정이다.

가족 단위 방문객을 위한 즐길 거리도 풍성하다. 산양삼 모종 심기, 모루 인형 만들기, 천연염색 등 다채로운 체험 프로그램이 진행되며, 메인 무대에서는 락댄스 페스티벌, 실버가요제 등 전 세대가 어우러지는 공연이 펼쳐진다. 또한, 군복을 착용한 군 장병과 동반 부모에게는 산나물 및 산양삼 판매장 이용 시 10% 할인 혜택을 제공한다.

축제 기간 방문객 편의를 위해 토리숲에서 홍천 터미널을 거쳐 팔봉산까지 셔틀버스도 운행된다. 이를 통해 5월 1일과 2일 열리는 팔봉산 당산제와 연계해 지역 전통문화까지 함께 즐길 수 있도록 구성했다.
